Benefits of the carpet and area rug
- Style. Carpet is modern, up-to-date and constantly changing with technology, with expanded color palettes, digital patterning and an even higher level of durability and stain resistance. A scatter rug comes in an unlimited number of colors, sizes, and shapes, especially when custom designed, a benefit for those oddly shaped rooms,
- Noise reduction. Both underscore the theory of Form + Function. The fabric keeps sound vibrations from bouncing off the walls and creating an echo. Carpet acts as a cushion that blocks out muffled conversations, beeping devices, phones and more. How can I use both?
- Layering is trending hot this year. Put one over your wall-to-wall carpet or big rug. When you get tired of the look, use a different one for the area.
- Define spaces. There's often one big room for both the living and dining area or home office. Even with wall-to-wall, you can place a rug strategically to separate each area.
